After receiving an education here in the US, Jay Snyder and his wife Patty moved to the Dominican Republic and have raised their family there. Jay started a company that provides jobs for the people.
Since 1999 CHARM has built numerous schools, medical clinics and community centers. Each year a group of volunteers travel to the Dominican Republic to deliver school supplies, hygiene kits, clothing, and complete projects to help the Dominican people. Each volunteer pays their own way so that all donations can be spent to benefit the people and communities.

ABOUT US

When Jay Snyder returned to his home in Ohio after serving a two-year mission in the Dominican Republic for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he wanted to continue to serve the people there. He asked his parents Dr Dave and Ilene Snyder if there wasn’t something they could do to help the people. Dr Dave and Ilene decided to create a charity with the goal to provide health care, education, and community development for the people of the Dominican Republic. This led to the creation of CHARM: Caribbean Health Assistance, Rehabilitation and Management in 1999.
